CAPSMANv2 multiple DHCP Servers for Subnet Issue

Tue Oct 03, 2023 6:54 pm

Hi there, I changed my accesspoints to new cAPax. They are all managed by capsmanv2. I setup the wifis and the connetion is working, but...

With the old APs /Capsmanv1 I could setup 3 bridges, with 3 DHCP Servers for 3 different Subnets. That wont work now.

Is there any idea out there, I really need it fixed till tomorow morning.

thank you in advance and your time.

Use vlan's, only single bridge required:

Hi, thank you very much for your answer. VLan is really a good idea, but I wonder why it no longer works as it did with the old APs? Change everything to vLan I will tackle, the change takes some time, the tutorial is very long. For the transition it would be enough for me to use the bridges with the DHCP servers again. How do I set this and why does capsmanV2 ignore the settings? Thank you.

Setting multiple bridges for different subnets always has been a ... bad idea.
Even with ROS6 or legacy wifi.
It's not because you can do something it is considered best practice.

Wifiwave2 driver works quite differently with bridge.

Also see this (condensed version of previous info, specific for wifiwave2 and vlan):
