PoE Auto on issues on L009

Fri Nov 17, 2023 7:00 pm

I upgraded my L009 today to 7.12 and the PoE port just stopped giving out power. After checking, the PoE out was set to off and whenm trying to set it to PoE auto, it throws an error saying Couldn't change interface <ether8>. This model does not support poe-out auto-on mode(6)

Has anyone seen a similar issue on L009? Any fixes u can suggest?

I just checked the release notes for 7.12 and looks like it's intentional. One of the items say that support for poe auto mode is removed for L009 devices.
I just don't understand why?

I just ran into this too. I wonder with the rationale / reasoning is for this? Not only did it take a bit of time to sort out this morning, but I preferred auto-on.

The current implementation of L009 has basic passive PoE (ON or OFF), it doesn't fully support the optional auto-sensing feature for the 'Auto-on' mode.

But it was working properly in auto mode before this OS update, so I do not understand why it was removed if it was actually working properly?
