ROS 7.12.1 BGP Peer not initiaing connects or responding to connections

Tue Dec 12, 2023 3:43 pm

Hi,
Before I open a ticket with Mikrotik can anybody see if I have done something wrong in below config?

PROBLEM
The TeamCYMRU_V4 Peer does not initiate connections neither does it respond to the connections coming in from TeamCYMRU. Peer never comes up. The other two peers to my upstreams are working fine. I have had somebody else check the MD5 Key.
No amount of rebooting, disabling, enabling, deleteing and readding helps. I have even upgraded to 7.12.1 before I would have preferred to. The ip address given is a loopback address on a bridge interface.

Peer / Connection
 name="TeamCYMRU_v4"
     remote.address=216.31.3.81/32 .as=65332
     local.default-address=160.119.217.104 .role=ebgp
     tcp-md5-key="****" connect=yes listen=yes routing-table=main router-id=160.119.217.104 templates=Fullbogons as=328162
     multihop=yes address-families=ip
     output.affinity=main
     input.affinity=main .filter=Fullbogons
Routing Filter
  chain=Fullbogons rule="if (bgp-communities includes 65332:888) { reject;}"
Log File
 CYMRU-IN input: in:ether4 out:(unknown 0), connection-state:new src-mac 5c:b1:2e:b3:94:17, proto TCP (SYN), 216.31.3.81:59260->160.119.217.104:179, len 64ode]
Torch shows no outgoing connections and no responses to the above incoming ones.

Help much appreciated.

Check the packet sniff, I am guessing that the md5 key is not correct.
