According to https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Peripherals SIM7100 is supported in LTE mode on v7.xx.
I started with a working PPP connection in ROS 6.48.7 and then tried to convert it to LTE.
I've tried it in ROS 7.14 and I get it to connect and run, but I'm unable to get an IP for the LTE connection and as such I'm unable to use it.
The sim shows as registered, I can see traffic being sent over the connection but nothing is received back.
I've also tried it in ROS 7.12 (same issue, LTE connection running but no IP)
And in ROS 6.48.7 (same issue, LTE connection running but no IP)
If I call "at-chat 0 input="AT+IPADDR"" I can see the IP address that the network has assigned to me. This IP matches with what I can see on my sim provider website.
settings
/interface lte apn
set [ find default=yes ] ip-type=ipv4 use-network-apn=no
add apn=telstra.extranet default-route-distance=10 ip-type=ipv4 name=Telstra
/interface lte
set [ find default-name=lte1 ] apn-profiles=Telstra sms-read=no
Has anybody been able to get a LTE connection working with a SIM7100 modem?
