I think it is only available on RouterOS V6, where it is part of the extra package (just checked, but you probably did that already as well...).
Strangely enough it is shown on the help.mikrotik.com documentation site. AFAIK, that is the V7 documentation site.

What RouterOS version are you running? And on what hardware?

Is downgrading an option? I.e. LTS 6.49.18?
I prefer to have my older hardware running V6, but it depends what functionality is required.

What curious here is they did update the OpenFlow docs pretty recently:
https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/spaces/R ... 5/Openflow
and including a reference to OpenFlow 1.3 support (compare with 1.0 in https://wiki.mikrotik.com/Manual:OpenFlow)

Maybe hope it's coming back, but IDK.

[...]

Maybe hope it's coming back, but IDK.

The command-line examples are clearly from 7.x (having '/' instead of ' ' between each branch of the command tree). Also, from the page update history, it looks like the first version of that Openflow page was not there from the beginning & only showed up in late January, and has been getting updated regularly since then.

So my guess is that you are right, and they are working on bringing it back. It's probably in internal dev/testing, and as they continue to work on it, they are updating the public docs in real-time to reflect the latest changes to their internal code.

The fact that they abandoned a feature and are now finally working to bring it back gives me hope that maybe they will soon start tackling the important issue of our day, which is the sudden and aggravating removal of hardware-offloaded MPLS label swap from specific CRS models that already supported it in 6.x. 😡

There was another thread with similar speculation, viewtopic.php?p=1125018&hilit=openflow#p1120392:

Great to hear Normis...I'd love to know what OpenFlow controllers you are testing with?

Most of our testing has been done with Faucet.
Also, docs already public https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/spaces/R ... 5/Openflow
