I thought I saw a list of what everything listed in the profile tool was but I cant seem to find it now.
Does anyone know what "flash" is and why it uses so much processor on the older router boards?
Chadd
Normis,NAND flash for routerboards. Something is writing something to disk.
what kind of configuration do you have there? firewall, NAT, queues, proxy, anything else?
I have them stripped down to bare min on packages. I will try webfig to see if I can get in it that way.if you use v5.2, webfig is much less resource intensive than winbox, you should try using that instead. you can do 98% of the things y you can do in winbox and v5.3 will even bring more features.
you should uninstall all packages you don't use, check "system packages" menu to see if there is anything you don't need
