Automatic Reporting

Wed Aug 10, 2016 11:42 pm

Hello All,

I hope you all are doing great.

I have a question, I have installed Dude Server with a public IP. I have many other devices (all are mispbe devices e.g RB750UP), I want them to report to the Dude server. Now the issue is that, I dont have static/public IPs on the client devices. Is it possible that the server doesn't ask for probes and be it the other way around, meaning that the client devices sends/pushes the information about themselves to the dude server ?

Regards,

Safiullah

Open tunnels from the distant devices to your central one.

I didn't understand your reply.
I think i should elaborate a bit more. Those client devices are connected to internet but once they get disconnected, they will get a new public IP. Now i dont know the new IP, can there be a possibility that the device which gets the new IP, itself starts to connect to my dude server?

It will be logging by its credentials so it will always get the same in-tunnel ip so you will be able to reach it always the same regardless its public ip. Try l2tp for example.
