CCR 1016 - max bridging performance

Fri Aug 04, 2017 2:16 pm

Hi!

I need two new devices. The goal is to bridge full gigabit with only very few filters (block Spanning Tree packets).

Can you give me a hint on choosing the right device? As there is a version of CCR 1016 with redundant power supply and SFP-Ports, this would be my prefered choice. Do you think, this is sufficient?

The router does not have additional things to do - no encryption, no tunnels - only bridging.

Thank you and best wishes

Why would you want to bridge all ports?

I think something like a crs125 should be able to work fine, just using the switch group.

you should also be able to filter stp packets under the switch menue

Hi!

I do not want to bridge all ports - only two ports.

Are you sure, CRS can filter STP in switch mode without passing the packets to the CPU?
