Upgrade MikrotikOS from 6.43.8 on CHR

Sun Nov 29, 2020 9:50 am

Hello!
I am trying to activate the NTP server on Mikrotik. This requires the MIPS-BE package, the stable version of which is version 6.47.8 (https://download.mikrotik.com/routeros/ ... 6.47.8.zip). Therefore, I downloaded the stable version of RouterOS 6.47.8 from the link https://download.mikrotik.com/routeros/ ... 6.47.8.npk copied through Winbox in the Files menu, rebooted the router. But after the reboot, the router version remained the same 6.43.8 I tried to install the old MIPS-BE package for MikrotikOS version 6.43.8 from the link https://download.mikrotik.com/routeros/ ... 6.43.8.zip Downloaded, copied the file routeros-mipsbe-6.47.8.npk from the archive to the Files menu, rebooted, but the NTP Server item did not appear.

The router is deployed on ESXi 5.0:
- Image chr-6.40.5.vmdk;
- CPUs: 1;
- Provision HDD Size: 128 Mb;
- Memory: 256 Mb;
- Guest Operation System: Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (64-bit).

Output in MikrotikOS:
/system resource print

Why are you trying to deploy mipsbe packages to a CHR?
And why are you trying to do it on one where the trial license has expired and thus prevents upgrades?

Which package do I need to use for Mikrotik CHR?
We have the purchased permanent license installed. When I first installed this license in 2019, there were problems connecting to the server upon activation. After talking with technical support, it was still possible. Now I went to my personal account and in fact, for some reason Mikrotik cannot connect to the server, although access to the Internet is full, external hosts answer (I check from the Winbox terminal by pinging external hosts).

I cannot understand why ports 80 and 443 ceased to be available. Although at the same time they are available through the same external ISP address from another computer. Added a temporary rule in Winbox that allows any traffic to the outside (forward all from mikrotik) - still does not work.

I can connect successfully to http (tcp / 80) of the main gateway for Mikrotik, but all external hosts on these ports are not available (google ...) with Mikrotik. Although other hosts of the local network (in which Mikrotik itself is located) connect through the same gateway successfully.

The ones listed under Cloud Hosted Router on the website's Downloads page. I'm sure this is not a terribly difficult concept.
e.g. https://download.mikrotik.com/routeros/6.47.8/all_packages-x86-6.47.8.zip
