mangle rules DB?

Fri Jan 08, 2021 1:11 pm

due to the work & study from home situation I'd like to set-up mangle rules to discriminate the different services for my kids and wife. One of the services of course is Zoom. Their firewall manual page https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articl ... s-for-Zoom however makes me skeptic I can do good job by just looking at the port and I was wondering if there is mangle rule DB or something similar to the adblock lists but for QoS and packet marking. Also some services that use dynamic ports in the 5 digit space can't be reliably marked only by the port number.

You can only filter on the IP address of theclient. If your router is also providing DHCP to the clients then it should be possible.

I don't want to filter. I need to mark the connections for monitoring and QoS purposes.

Just assign them static IPs in DHCP and mark by address.

I want to mark services, not clients.
