It's frustrating that OpenWRT metarouter image haven't get update for years. OpenWRT has been replaced by LEDE and kernel version are now 4.1X... and 2018 is coming!
I finally decided to update the patches myself. Wasting a week of spare time, I finally get an working build on my RB2011UiAS-RM router.
It is based on previous works of liquidcz and hecke. Thanks them a lot. I simply migrate the mr-mips patch to 3.18 Linux kernel. LEDE Version 3.18 is not the latest, but still in support.

Official MIPS32 packages should be compatible with this image. I only build kernel modules and base packages. Here are the repo:
