RB5009 - IPv6 connection to Internet

Tue Nov 30, 2021 12:41 pm

Hi there,
currently trying to establish a IPv6 connection to the internet from my devices. I tried to follow

https://www.medo64.com/2018/03/setting- ... -mikrotik/
https://administrator.de/tutorial/ipv6- ... 32633.html

and do have a prefix from my ISP. However there is no connection, all IPv6 connections fail at https://ipv6-test.com/ from different devices.
Here is my config:
[admin@MikroTik] > export hide-sensitive
# nov/30/2021 10:38:35 by RouterOS 7.1rc7
# software id = 2V4R-GZV8
#

In the DHCPv6 Client I only request a prefix. If I also request an address then no prefix is received from my ISP at all.

Re: RB5009 - IPv6 connection to Internet  [SOLVED]

In ROSv7 there's routing problem for IPv6 when both pppoe-client and dhcp-client are set with add-default-route=yes. So disable this option on dhcpv6-client (pppoe-client knows that better) and try again.

Phew! That seems to work now, easy fix. However would have never figured that out by myself. Thanks.
Is it a bug?

Is it a bug?
Not sure. Could be ... or configuration mismatch (which supposedly didn't break things in v6).
