v7.1 free space issue

Wed Dec 29, 2021 5:10 pm

Hi,
I have a cAP AC (RBcAPGi-5acD2nD), that I wanted to use as an auto-upgrade server for my main router (RB750Gr3). The cAP had like 15MB of free space, so it sounded like a great idea. I copied the ~10 MB mmips firmware for the Hex and then realized that there is a 7.1.1 update for the cAP. So I clicked on the upgrade, which resulted in a not enough free space. So far it makes sense.
When the cAP was rebooted, all .npk files were gone from Flash (at least these are not visible in winbox or webfig) but winbox tells me that 14.9 MiB of 15.3 MiB is used!
I tried the fix_space.npk with the bash script inside, but that did not help. Is there a newer version of the fix_space script that with get back the lost space on my cAP?

And while we are at it, my HEX has similar issues, although that that bad, but after removing all visible files, about 4MB is free, so I could use a free space fixer for 6.49.2 too.
