OpenVPN different subnet in server and clients

Sun Jan 02, 2022 10:40 pm

Hi collegues,
I've come across some strange behaviour that I can't sort out.

I have a simple setup with OpenVPN server on Mikrotik v6.49.2 and several clients (mikrotik's, openwrt's, mobiles).
It actually works ok - i.e. I have connectivity between routers and between the LANs behind it, but...

OpenVPN server (192.168.100.1) is configured with that address and netmask /24
Clients receive IP from the pool 192.168.100.0/24

Lately I've setup OSPF between Mikrotik's - for fun, and to learn and...
OSPF started to flood my logs with warnings about:
"Hello Packet: mismatch in network mask"
source=192.168.100.10
remote=255.255.255.0
mine=255.255.255.255
How can I configure ovpn to assign IP for the server with /24 netmask?
I can add it manually in addresses, but then I have multiplied addresses with both /24 (manually created) and /32 point to point (dynamicly created)
