VXLAN over WLAN bridge

Sat Jan 22, 2022 10:18 am

Hi everyone,

I was trying to replace an existig EoIP tunnel (that works via a WLAN bridge) with VXLAN. The use case is to attach a HDTV and several other media devices to the rest of a network while having L2 visibility. Tunnel ends are hAP ac 2 and a RB 4011.

I set it up similarly to the way I did with EoIP. I created a VXLAN interface plus VTEP on both sides and bridged them to the respective ethernet interfaces as I previously did with the EoIP interfaces (a setup which worked fine for months). I can ping the remote IP I used in the VXLAN/VTEP interface creation just fine, but I can't reach any interface I bridged with the VXLAN interfaces. Do you have an idea why that is?
