Forward traffic to cloud server

Tue Feb 08, 2022 7:30 pm

Hi,
I need to forward a SIP trunk to a Cloud Server. The current topology is something like this:

ISP SIP Server (10.10.10.1 outside our office) <----> ISP SIP Router (192.168.0.1/30 in our office) <----> PBX (eth0: 172.16.20.2/24 (LAN); eth1: 192.168.0.2 /30) <----> RB951 (eth0: 181.0.0.2/29; eth1:172.16.20.1/24 (LAN)) <----> Internet

Se we want to get rid of the local PBX and move to a Cloud server, but the ISP can't offer connection directly to our Cloud server and we're tied to the ISP, nothing to do, so I was wondering if I can do something like this and how:

ISP SIP Server (10.10.10.1) <----> ISP SIP Router (192.168.0.1/30) <----> RB951 (eth0: 181.0.0.2/29; eth1:172.16.20.1/24 (LAN); eth2: 192.168.0.2/30) <----> Internet <----> Cloud PBX server (eth0: 45.0.0.2/29)

Where the RB forward all the traffic received from ISP Server/Router (10.10.10.1 or 192.168.0.1) to the Cloud PBX Server and vice versa, all traffic from Cloud PBX Server redirect it to the ISP for outbound calls; we can dedicate a public IP for this purpose like 181.0.0.3. We don't have access or any control over the ISP equipment. I remember that somebody did this once with a Cisco router somewhere else, but I want to do it with a RB we don't have Cisco routers neither want them.

I would really appreciate your help, thanks in advance.

David
