There i fixed it !

Now it does fit in our 6U tower racks !

Everything should have DC power input.

Well, I did ask Mikrotik to make a DC version of the CRS-328P, they say there is no market for this

- It makes it compatible with small racks
- It is cheaper, since it does not need to contain a PSU

A similar device with +24V and +48V DC inputs, outdoor case, fewer ports, SFP+ uplink (NetPower 16P) already exists. Still only +24V and +48V DC (negative ground), no option for -48V DC (positive ground, telecom power) - that would require an isolated DC/DC converter, or forget 24V passive PoE and make it 802.3af only - then the isolation is required by the standard in each powered device. In the past I was using Nortel 5520 series switches that accept -48V DC, but they were noisy and power-hungry.
