I just installed a new RB5009 (OS 7.1.1) at home. The 2.5Gbps port is connected to the 2.5Gbps port on a Motorola SB8611 cable modem using a Cat 5e cable. I have 1.2Gbps Internet service from my ISP (Comcast). After installing the RB5009, I'm only seeing about 570Mbps Internet download speeds with the default port configuration (2.5Gbps link). If I remove the 2.5Gbps advertisement on that port, then the router will connect to the cable modem at 1Gbps and my Internet download speeds will increase to about 950Mbps. Are there any known issues or incompatibilities with the 2.5Gbps port on this router? Any setting I should change to try to get higher download speeds? I upgraded from a hEX S to this new router, partly because of the 2.5Gbps port, but I get slower download speeds than the hEX S unless I disable 2.5Gbps connections to the modem.
It seems that others are also having some issues with the 2.5Gbps port:
