Best Device for duel sim with failover

Wed Apr 27, 2022 12:24 am

Hi,

Does anyone have experience setting up one of the duel sim routers with carrier failover? I am wondering what would be the best hardware for a small business needing failover to help with less downtime when there is internet failure.

Also, how hard is it to set up? Based on some other topics on this forum it looks like a script will be required.

Not qualified to answer the question yet. I'm going through the process of setting up failover to cellular with a wAP R ac. Final solution will probably be a NetMetal ac2 or LtAP. I'm working with three ISP WAN connections at the moment: PPPoE over 2.4Ghz, cellular, and a T1.

I think that within the LtAP, you would replicate what I'm doing with cellular two-fold. What is your client's primary internet connection? If not cellular, why have two cellular connections?
