Switch CRS326-24S+2Q+RM + (SFP Cisco)

Mon Jul 12, 2021 2:20 pm

Hello. Sorry for the English I use a translator. I had a problem, a Cisco switch broke down not so long ago, now I'm looking for an inexpensive replacement. I stopped at the MikroTik Switch CRS326-24S+2Q+RM switch, I think it suits me. I still have SFP modules from Cisco and I'm not sure that they will fit. Please help me to understand.

I'm quite sure they will work. I have used a GLC-T once myself.

If the optical one has some troubles then just try to set auto-negotiation=off and speed=1Gbps manually.

Hello. Have you installed GLC-T in the Mikrotik switch?
All other cisco 2960 switches. I'm worried that after installing Mikrotik CRS326-24S + 2Q + RM, something will be incompatible.
And the local network will not start.

(it turned out that I am selecting equipment, an invited specialist will be engaged in setting it up, it does not turn out very correctly, but it is so.)

Hello, sorry for my English, I use a translator.
Switch RS 326-24 S+2 Q+RM and Cisco SFP started working after the recommendation.

On RS 326-24 S+2 Q+RM, several VLAN trunk ports and access ports are organized via SFP, and it is impossible to configure routing between different VLANs.
Please tell me how to configure.

What exactly is behind the term "routing" in your case?
IP-Routing on L3 - including inter-VLAn routing - is the Job of a Router, not a Switch...configure a trunk port to your Router and let that baby do the job.
Its called a "Router-on-Stick" scenario and is explained perfectly here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=143620

The CRS326 is, although being capable of running RouterOS, a Switch after all...unless you want to upgrade to latest ROS v7.1rc4, where hardware offloading of inter-VLAN routing on L3 has been introduced: https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ ... Offloading
But this version is not named a stable version, which is what I would consider using for a business scenario only.

Sorry, I'll ask the question differently.

When configuring VLANs on the bridge - some ports are tagged, some untagged - VLANs do not see each other

When configuring VLANs on the bridge - some ports are tagged, some untagged - VLANs do not see each other
So you are referring to ports in the same VLAN-ID are not being inter-connected properly?
If all clients behind a switch port are not able to tag the traffic themselves, this will be an Access port. Set the PVID according to the desired VID.
For a hybrid port, basically the same concept applies but you also enable/allow tagged traffic on that port, too
This is also explained in the forums-link I gave you, above.

...then you did something wrong or missed a vital thing.
I repeat: the link I gave is the "bible" and does include good examples.

What on your side is not working and why is hard to guess from over here.
Best question: did you forget to enable vlan filtering on the bridge (you also did read the documentation? There is a chance of locking you out, if you did something wrong or in the false order) ?

Hello.
I have an issue with Cisco GLC-T SFP in CRS326-24S+2Q with RouterOS 7.2.3. The transceiver is recognized correctly by the switch. However, there is no link present, if autonegotiation is turned on. If port is set to 1G and full duplex, the link on mikrotik is up even though no cable is plugged into the transceiver. If I connect the cable to laptop or other switch (Cisco 4948), the link on the device wont come up. I have also tried to disable autonegotiation on the other swich. This GLC-T is working fine in CRS326-24G-2S+.
I have also tested Cisco GLC-LH-SM transceiver in CRS326-24S+2Q which is working without any issues.

Is this expected behaviour on CRS326-24S+2Q?

Thanks.
