ZeroTier interface not running

Sun Sep 05, 2021 8:14 pm

Hi Guys,

I am attempting to play with ZeroTier on a 4011, however I simply cannot get the interface to come up.

I have installed the ZT client on my phone and successfully connected, however, I cannot get the interface to enter a running mode on my router.

I have updated the router to 7.1RC2 and installed the ZT package. I have flattened the routers configuration to ensure a simple setup.

Please see an export of the running configuration below.

Can anyone suggest anything obvious I have gotten wrong?

I had the same issue. I have fixed it by setting "disable-running-check=yes" on my interface. This made the interface work.
The parameter is, however, completely undocumented, so I don't know exactly what it does (beyond what it sounds like), or why it is required.
I hope when the package goes final, the documentation will be updated to indicate the usage of this parameter.

This happened to me too, but it started working suddenly after I disabled both the zerotier interface and the zerotier instance and then re-enabled both.

Interesting. I tried that a couple times, doesn't work.
Now, for the even weirder part: The only way I can get the ZT interface to come up is:
- Make sure disable-running-check=yes
- Disable both the interface and insance.
- First enable the interface, THEN enable the instance (other way around and it doesn't work).
