PSE-8 and PSE-24 boards

Fri Jun 25, 2021 5:43 pm

Hey folks,

Is it possible to buy PSE-8 or PSE-24 boards for PoE switches separately?
We have several switches that have various power problems on random ports due to surges, etc.. I was able to repair a couple by replacing the PSE boards from donor switches, but would like to just get some new ones.

Thanks in advance!

Ugh, need a PSE-8 for a CRS112. Seems a shame. Only port 8 does not put out PoE correctly.

i try to repair this board. my board is from netpower 16P, only one port (port5) have problem cause lightning. In winbox there's message about overload voltage to this port.

I find out theres short a diode and a resistor was burn on top side pcb, On bottom pcb there's a Ic was burn. Some digging get the ic is from texas instrument TLV9002 (marking code 1GNX).
change diode and resistor and remove the ic. Leave ic not populated cause i don't get replacement for this part. Try to fire up, but still get the overload message.

Move a working integrated component on that place, and if all is working on port 5, you miss only that component.

Interesting, I'll try that on a few of my damaged boards. Also, as far as I can tell, they use the same boards in all switches, power connectors being the only difference. At least, PSE-8 and PSE-24 are nearly identical.

I did compare all pin for all active component (diode, transistor and ic). The value is the same in diode mode. I wish i can disabled the current and voltage sensor for this port, but it will be hard without schematic.

The PCB have mark code PSE-8, i think 8 have meaning 8 port. And sticker PSE-24 mean the poe have output 24V for code 2 and 48v for code 4.

PSE-8 means is meant for an 8-port switch, as you said, the CRS112-8P-4S. It has dual DC jacks that line up with the back of the case. PSE-24 is for the 24-port CRS328-24P-4S, without the DC jacks, but with an internal 4-pin connector instead. The 24-port switch uses 3 of these boards. I'm fairly certain the other switches use PSE-24 boards in various quantities.

PSE-8 have meaning the pcb have 8 channel poe, and the code PSE-24 have meaning the poe have dual output 24v and 48V.

All these boards are 8-channel, and all of them are 24/48V. This is why the PSE-8 has dual DC jacks.

It is completely useless when you reply to the post just above,
and if you consult the site from the phone it becomes a quote of quote that quote the quote of something already listed, all for nothing.
