PPPOE target

Wed May 18, 2022 8:28 am

Hi all,

I have a weird situation on one router 5009 with PPPOE server. Sometimes the target end up being weird characters, and when that happens in influence all the other users.
On winbox under queues it displays the target as <unknown>

Using a 5009, ROS 7.2.3
pppoe.png
/interface pppoe-server server
add default-profile=PPPoE_Profile disabled=no interface=Guest-Bridge keepalive-timeout=disabled one-session-per-host=yes service-name=PPPOE
/ppp profile
add change-tcp-mss=yes dns-server=8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4 local-address=10.1.64.1 name=PPPoE_Profile only-one=yes remote-address=POOL-PPPOE-Paid use-compression=yes use-encryption=yes use-mpls=no use-upnp=no
/ip address
add address=10.1.64.1/20 interface=Guest-Bridge network=10.1.64.0

thanks
chris

I think that is an indication of an unknown interface.
What did you set as target there? Maybe a dynamic interface ?

Hi Zacharias, thanks for the reply

Yes in the queue's it displays the target as <unknown>, but on the setup of the PPPOE server it is setup as a VLAN-interface
