How to force "Actual MTU" on PPPoE client

Wed Jun 08, 2022 6:38 pm

Hi,
I configured a PPPoE client on Mikrotik RouterOS v7.2.3 to connect to Internet and I get a MTU size of 1480 (max MTU and max MRU are set to 1492). There is a way to force "Actual MTU" to get a 1492 MTU?

Yes, talk to your ISP and ask them to support MTU 1492.

Problem solved: you can't, change ISP.

Quote of the day: There are no stupid questions, just stupid answers from people that needs to feel smarter than everyone else.
A simple answer like "it's not possible because the ISP configures the MTU size" would have sufficed.

But Znevna showed you exactly the way to go, and also exactly what to ask the ISP...
