Some "Creative" Solutions i know are being used :
Solution 1 :
The Local BUS-Company in Town use Mikrotik wAP ac LTE in all there Buses.
5Ghz is used to Provide WIFI for Internet and other digital Services to Customers
LAN 1 ist used for a Web-Server, that provides Digital-Services for WIFI-Connected Customers (Movies, Games, News, Wetter etc.)
LAN 2 ist used Onboard-Display (To show Bus-Route, Wetter, News-Feed Etc..)
The 2.4 Ghz ist configured as a Wifi-Client.
As soon as the BUS enters the Bus-Depot, the Mikrotik wAP ac LTE is able to Connect to the Management Network.
All Devices Mikrotik, Web-Server and Co. used this connection to update and more.
For your use :
As soon as the Mikrotik-Device ist connected to the Management Network,
-> Script can be run to export or import Data or Configurations
-> A Small Tool on the Network can connect to the Device via SSH oder API to Export, Import update , etc..
Solution 2:
A local Company have Mikrotik LTE-Devices in all their Trucks.
The Device connect to a Management Network via VPN.
As long as the Device as an Internet-Connection, it will communicate "Home".
All your normal Tools will work, as if they were localy connected.
Winbox, SSH, DUDE, Scripts etc..
