How do I remove unnecessary pacakges

Fri Jun 17, 2022 8:43 pm

I have download routeros-7.3.1-mmips.npk and also downloaded all_packages-mmips-7.3.1.
What I trying to do is remove unnecessary packages that I don't need, for example ppp, wireless etc.
My understanding that extract the zip file and put the files I want to keep in the root of the file system and reboot, that gets rid of what I don't need.
When I extracted the .zip, it only has these,
calera, dude, gps, iot, lora,tro69 client, ups, use manager.
The main file is an .npk.
Where are the individual files like dhcp, mpls, security, system etc?

How do i remove hotspot, wireless etc.

Thanks

What was in separate npk files in v6 is now mostly part of basic npk in v7. Even with bundle in v6 these packages were listed separately in list of installed packages (it was not possible to uninstall them, they could only be dissbled). Now basic install only lists one single package (routeros), certain functionality can be disabled under /system/device-mode or in appropriate config subtree (such as /ipv6/settings/set disable-ipv6=yes .

I have upgraded to 7.3.1.
Looking in the System menu, I did not find "device-Mode (/system/device-mode)
I would like to disable Wireless.

device-mode is only accessible from the commandline interface
when you only want to disable wireless, go to the wireless menu and disable the interface(s).
