LtAP mini Ether1 as LAN and LTE as WAN

Thu Jun 23, 2022 2:44 am

Hi, obviously I don't really know what I'm doing and would appreciate some help.

I have an LtAP mini with R11e LTE. I have it set up in QuickSet as LTE AP. The basic question I have is I think, how can I setup the Ether1 connection to be a LAN not a WAN port? See below for some more details.

I want to use Ether1 to connect to a local computer and have the WiFi access point available, with both on the same LAN. It is going to be a remote setup so the LTE needs to be the connection to the internet. I can't use WiFi for the local computer because it will interfere with some sensors that are attached to it.

How it is currently setup I can access the computer on Ether1 via SSH over WiFi, but it doesn't have any connection to the internet, testing by trying to ping 8.8.8.8. Although I have setup ZeroTier on the computer and can see it on the private network, which is confusing. I have connected it via WiFi and with the cable in a different setup and had an internet connection so I'm certain that it is not the computer.

Please see my config below.

so I'm certain that it is not the computer.
And I'm sure it's a computer :)
It's easy to make sure of that. You need to ping 8.8.8.8 with LtAP mini.

Weird,

In default configuration using quickset, the ether1 port is a LAN port on the LTAP Mini.
Both Ether1 and WLAN1 need to be in a Bridge, with LTE as the default WAN.
