Hi,
my Hex S doesn't appear in Winbox neighbor tab, I cannot access my router
If anyone have an idea what is wrong with my router, Please help, I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance
You do not provide any relevant detail, then use netinstall.
Why do you assume from the start that the problem is not your computer?
/tool mac-server
set allowed-interface-list=all
/tool mac-server mac-winbox
set allowed-interface-list=all
/tool mac-server ping
set enabled=yes
This mean that you successfully netinstall another router, or simply you see with winbox the other router?yes i used netinstall, but even netinstall cannot detect my router, while my other one is detected
you try to open 192.168.88.1 with winbox?
if you can open new terminal on some way, paste this inside your router terminal:Code: Select all/tool mac-server set allowed-interface-list=all /tool mac-server mac-winbox set allowed-interface-list=all /tool mac-server ping set enabled=yes
I did not netinstall router, I just see the router in netinstall, also I can access the other router with winboxThis mean that you successfully netinstall another router, or simply you see with winbox the other router?yes i used netinstall, but even netinstall cannot detect my router, while my other one is detected
- I did several reset on the hex S, I think Neighbor discovery is reset too, but im not sureOn the hEX S .... config
- Neighbor discovery could be off in Discovery Configuration. (https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:I ... _discovery) It changed somewhat: https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ ... +discovery
- Tools "MAC Winbox" not allowed on that interface ? https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/MAC+server
- Both devices not in the same (L2 network) broadcast domain ?
this works, you have tried to connect winbox with the mac specified on the label where router model and serial number is also present?
try netinstall, but keep pressing the reset button for more than one minute and check if appear on netinstall
if all this fail, probably your protected-routerboot function is engaged, and when you reset the configuration the routerboard
can not go on netinstall mode, until you do not guess protect-routerboard timer, usually for default or 20 or 30 seconds, depend on bios version....
