Flapping ethernet links on CRS312 - frequent & intermittent network disruptions

I have been noticing various ethernet links going down and then back up again after a few seconds on CRS312.

While the device using ether6-focker goes into sleep mode and switches to 100M (runs at 10G otherwise), ether5-x22 & ether3-udmpro are always on.

I find it suspicious that ether1-rb5009 does not seem affected. It might be unrelated, but only non-MikroTik devices seem to be affected.

This is the relevant network topology:

|                                  - runs DHCP for all devices connecting into CRS312

|-> ether5-x22    - Linux (10Gbps) - always on (affects pinger when link goes down)
|-> ether6-focker - Mac   (10Gbps) - sometimes sleeps (highly sensitive to link downs during the day)

What is worse, packets going through the CRS312 (192.168.88.2 - trunk switch) to RB5009 (192.168.88.1 - WAN router) have brief periods of 20x increased latency (0.3ms to 6ms).

TL;DR: Switching from a UTP to a SFP+ DAC patch cable made my intermittent network disruptions go away. I still don't understand why.

I was running a Vention Cat. 6A UTP 0.5m patch cable when these intermittent network disruptions were occurring. I have since switched to a 10G SFP+ DAC between the CRS312 & UDM Pro and I have not had a single disconnect since July 16, meaning the last 14 days.

The Linux host had a single disconnect in the same period. I continue to monitor it closely. The Linux host is connected via the same Vention Cat. 6A UTP 0.5m patch cable. The cable between the patch panel and wall data socket is an industrial Cat 6A SSTP that has been in constant use for 2 years with no issues. Data socket to physical host is connected via Vention Cat 7 SSTP. I have replaced both Ventions to rule out the cables.

For reference, this is a point-in-time picture of my current network cabinet setup. Notice the blue SSTP & black SFP+ DAC running from CRS312 to UDM Pro's two separate WAN interfaces. The SSTP proved unnecessary, my issues went away after I connected these two devices via SFP+ DAC.

The cables are nowhere near as tidy as they could be. Consider the above a work-in-progress view.
