Static routes

Mon Aug 08, 2022 12:51 am

Hi Experts,

I have a problem with my configuration. Use at home a fortigate fw and now bought a RB951G-2hnd. I would like to connect each other. The forti interface address is 192.168.5.254. Rb bridge address is 192.168.10.1. Created a static route to destination 192.168.5.0/24 trought 192.168.10.1 dgw. The ping to remote address not work from my computer. Issue is destination host is unreacheable. Where did wrong configuration?
Thanks!
Tibor

I dont believe you have stated the requirement in a way that makes sense.
You want to setup a static router, tells nothing about the why.

Requirements are user based.........
What users/devices or groups thereof do you have,
What is it that they need to do, and should not do.

in concert with a network diagram showing the devices involved the incoming internet and intended subnet flows over ports,
a design can be then sussed out in full context of the requirements.
