what do I expect from the v7.6 beta

Hi,

where is new beta version ? :)

I hope MK will not forget the last roaming standard which is still misssing...... 802.11 v

These roaming standards have no meaning until they are correctly implemented in capsman or similar future alternative.

Well, devs need to start from somewhere. And implementing stuff in CAPsMAN is even more useless if CAPs don't implement necessary functionality. Plus, implementing those functions can help ever so slightly on APs with multiple radios (i.e. almost every wave2 compatible device) where it enables better raming between radios of same AP (read: devices will finally move from 2.4GHz to 5GHz with ease).

OTOH, CAPsMAN completely lacks support for wifiwave2 devices, so clearly there's much to improve. I'm guessing that we'll see a surge in capsman improvements soon as roaming functions are now implemented in wave2 driver (which is the main reason for any notable development of capsman IMO).

Wifiwave2 configuration is front-end-wise conceptually the same as capsman so let's hope it doesn't take too long to string the loose ends together and make both work together.
