DIY a LHGG with Quectel EG18-EA

Mon Sep 26, 2022 4:51 pm

I'm waiting for the LHGGM&EG18-EA but it seems there's no stock and no date for when there will be. So I'm considering getting a RBLHGGR&R11e-LTE6 and looking on AliExpress for an EG18-EA (I have a RBLHGR&R11e-LTE6 with a similarly sourced EM12G thanks to seeing it recommended here on the forum - very happy with it). Any hints/tips in relation to the EG18-EA? (my goal is to load balance across the two LTE connections and have some redundancy)

Hi,

I do not think you are after the EG18, as that's a socket modem, not m.2 slot, possibly looking for the EM18?

I've documented my LHG-LTE6 to EM12G upgrade over here: https://www.ispreview.co.uk/talk/thread ... ems.38196/
I required:
M.2 Key B to Mini PCiE Adapter
IPX4 to IPX1 cables

Thank you, that's a good point!
