Hi Colleagues,
I am running a bridged Network over three different Sites with Wireless Links as per attached Diagram. My Internet is from a Fritzbox (bridged also) before Bridge 2 on Site 1, Site 2 is a high Site.
Currently I have not yet commissioned the Routers with Bridges 2 and 4 at Site 1. There are other Networks linked to 6 and 11. The Link between 3 - 5 and 8 – 9 is 60Ghz Wireless. These
break frequently in the heavy Rainy Season. For those I have 5Ghz Links 4 – 6 and 6 - 10 as Backup.
My Normal Traffic Flow is 2-3-5-7-6 and 8-9-11-12 (double Lines), If the 60Ghz 3-5 fails it should be 2-4-6-7, if the 60Ghz 8-9 fails, it will be 10-6 I have managed to make the Ports on Router 11 work
as Root Port to 9 and alternate Port to 10 by adjusting Path Costs, and that works like a charm, when I disable the Port to 9, Port 10 immediately takes over.
I think would now need the Ports on Router Bridge 2 to be Port to 3 as designated Port and Port to 4 as backup Port ?
Should I give all Bridges Priorities as per sketch (x1000) and possibly give all Ports Priorities ? Should 6 and 7 be switched ?
Or can I just adjust Port Path Costs on Bridge 2 to achieve this ?
Regards
Wilfried
