Hi all,
I want to increase wireless range so I've decided to connect a spare TP-Link router as an Access Point.
Connected the cable to the WAN port of the TP-Link router, the router gets and IP from the main Mikrotik router, I connect my Notebook to the new Access Point and I have internet, all good till this point. But there is one big problem I cannot connect to LAN shared resources on the 192.168.1.1 network, no ping reply whatsoever.
I cannot even ping the TP-Link that recieved IP (192.168.1.100) from any computer on 192.168.1.1 network.
TP-Link (access point) <--------> D-Link (switch) <---------> Mikrotik (router)
TP-Link: 192.168.1.100 | 192.168.5.1 | DHCP 192.168.5.1/24
Mikrotik: 192.168.1.1 | DHCP 192.168.1.1/24
Notebook: 192.168.5.2 <---- cannot ping any 192.168.1.1 devices
Any devices: 192.168.1.1/24 -----> cannot ping TP-Link Router 192.168.1.100
But I have internet on the Wireless device!
What I'm doing wrong and how to solve this issue? Thank you.
