A caps-managed cAP AX has got to be top priority.

Or we will keep having to use another vendor for the wireless.

Are you sure gotsprings? Bpwl relies upon dude not capsman to handle his wifi networks............... If he doesnt see the value then I am apt to look at dude before capsman if I ever have the need. viewtopic.php?p=960784&hilit=bpwl#p960792

:-D
thanks Normis,

You should go to politics when decide to change career path. You have mastered answering without answering. But thanks anyway.
There is a simple reason for asking such a question. cAP is one and only wall/celing AP and without additional gimmicks so it is suitable to be deployed in large number... if only there is "ax" version...

Anav,

I say it (type it) all the time... "If caps-man could control a good radio..."

And don't forget how much time I invested in caps-man... Only to have to abandon everything I built under it.

Hello. What is about outdoor devices? Any tests soon?
Anyway I thing the time will come. Are you planning to use a standard 802.11AX driver, or it will be another NStream version? 802.11AX Should solve the "Hidden node"-problem. Is there any need of TDMA-protocol now?

Hi gotsprings, thats why I asked the question. BPWL provides some shortcomings on capsman and prefers dude, so wonder if you agree or disagree etc.........

BPWL is the man!

But I am sure he has blocked me by now.

Why would I bother digging back into Mikrotik wireless with the 2014 WiFi5 radios?

The radio performance was the issue. The behavior of connected clients was no different when I used LOCAL FORWARDING caps-man or standalone drivers.
Caps-Man is f--king beautiful and one of the best wireless CONFIGURATORS I have worked with. No need to add flash drives and servers to job sites. No reason to look and see.. CRAP that router can't run the dude. etc etc etc. Caps-Man can run on or be added to anything running RouterOS. When lighting took out the ISP gateway and my router, the ISP came out and swapped their router... I logged into the switch and pushed the cap-man config in. Had 10 WAPS back online in seconds. Gave me time to actually pick up a new router and run out there a few days later.

But once again... can't keep clients connected... who gives a F--k?

Every single time I go down this road with Mikrotik Wireless Apologists, they eventually give in and admit their wireless is about 8 years behind other products. Then comes out the "Its so configurable and cheap..."
