Please help! IPSEC tunnels cannot access 1 device!

Wed Nov 23, 2022 3:18 am

Hi

I have a Mikrotik Hex at our tower site which has 2 subnets on it 10.11.1.0/24 and 192.168.88.0/24 I have 4 cameras on the 192.168.88.0/24 subnet they are on IP addresses:

192.168.88.150
192.168.88.151
192.168.88.160
192.168.88.161
I can access all of them except 192.168.88.151 from the VPN connection labeled Avon shop. If I ping it from the Avon Shop (192.168.11.0/24 subnet) sometimes I get 1 response then it fails after that but most of the time it just fails. I can ping and access all of the other IP addresses on both subnets? I can always ping the 192.168.88.151 address from the router itself just not across the IPSEC VPN Tunnel! I am absolutely sure the camera is gated to the Mikrotik on IP address 192.168.88.1 as all the other cameras and the subnet mask is set to 255.255.255.0.

As a side note I have 2 more of these running at other tower sites and am having the same kind of issue with one device on each site. I have 3 radios on each site and cannot get to one device only across the tunnel between sites or to my shop but can always ping the device from the router and again the gateways have been checked and are ok! Not sure if it is important but the address of the problem devices end in 1? The IP addresses I am having issues with at these other tower sites are 172.16.3.1 and 172.16.4.1 I must be doing something wrong. Please take a look at my config from the tower site I talked about first with the cameras and let me know if anything is incorrect.
