RB2011 not showing in winbox on computers not plugged into it.

Fri Jan 20, 2023 8:40 pm

I am using an RB2011 as a switch.

When I run winbox on a VM that is connected through the 2011, I can see and connect to the 2011, my 3 WAP, and my main 4011 router.

When I run winbox on my pc that is plugged directly to the 4011 router, I can see and connect to the 3 WAP, and the 4011. However, I do not see the 2011 displayed under neighbors, and when I attempt to connect to it via the IP or MAC, it won't connect.

Any thoughts on why it would not be displaying on winbox outside of being directly connected to it? I had no problems with my WAPs when I set them up.

I should also note that the 2011 not showing up in the leases on my dhcp server information on the 4011, but it is connected as I can get on the internet no problem with the computers going through it.

Maybe fix a config that is not tweaked just right?
Right, now how the EFF am I supposed to do that ........... with a magic effing crystal ball ??

Try providing the configs of all MT devices connected together so as to PROVIDE SOME EVIDENCE and useful information to work with! Please.

Activate Romon on all Tik devices.
When using winbox, connect to the device you can see using romon, the others will appear.
It is not complicated.
