Block internet access for child

Wed Jan 25, 2023 9:42 am

Hello,
trying to setup simple rule in my fw to block mobile device of my child at the night:
add action=drop chain=forward src-mac-address=AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF time=22h-8h,mon,tue,wed,thu,fri
Rule will enable at 22h but problem is rule will stay enabled after 8h. I must manually disable rule.

Any idea how to fix that please?

Why not use Kid-Control menu, which is optimised for this use and works very well?

seems it works fine while testing. Just a question. How can I add time from 8.00AM to 1:00AM?
mtik shows me error about wrong time. I know I can fix that by adding more times in days, for example I want to allow internet in friday from 08:00:00AM to saturday 01:00:00AM (17 hours)

friday:
from 8:00:00 to 23:59:00

saturday:
from 00:00:00 to 01:00:00
from 06:00:00 to 23:59:00

but there will be block for 1 minute.. Don't want it.

Thank you

Ignore above, to avoid blackout, use 24:00 which will make the transition seemless:

 4   name="System" sun=0s-1d mon=0s-1d tue=0s-1d wed=0s-1d thu=0s-1d fri=0s-1d
     sat=0s-1d rate-limit="" tur-sun="" tur-mon="" tur-tue="" tur-wed=""
     tur-thu="" tur-fri="" tur-sat=""
example from 4PM to 1AM:
6 B name="TV" sun=0s-1h,16h-1d mon=0s-1h,16h-1d tue=0s-1h,16h-1d
     wed=0s-1h,16h-1d thu=0s-1h,16h-1d fri=0s-1h,16h-1d sat=0s-1h,16h-1d
     rate-limit="" tur-sun="" tur-mon="" tur-tue="" tur-wed="" tur-thu=""
     tur-fri="" tur-sat=""

@normis when this child wants to run a minecraft server on the home network you expect the OP to run containers in order to access zerotrust cloudfare tunnel ( assuming its an arm device of course ).
Not sure what dreamland you guys are in sometimes.
