Hello I have cAP ac and Oculus Quest 2. Air LInk required to connect PC to Oculus by WiFi had some stutters and lags an it was independent on rate used by Air Link (even 10Mbit/s unusable). I didn't find solution online but instead discover that some people also have problems with Mikrotik products as well. So I decided to share my solution that seems to be working. It appears to me that lags caused by frequent (every few seconds..minutes) WiFi rate switching (rate up/down, chain 1S/2S, gate interval short/long). I have set following settings in WiFi configuration:
2GHz WiFi:
Disabled
5GHz WiFi:
frequency=5180 (someone somewhere said that lower channels are better, unverified claim)
band=5ghz-onlyac
channel-width=20/40/80mhz-XXXX
country=***my country***
guard-interval=long (disables short guard interval)
installation=indoor
rx-chains=0 (disables 2S for receive)
tx-chains=1 (disables 2S for transmit)
Using iperf3 test with my notebook and PC I have found that this settings does not degrade transfer speed - I get stable ≥150 Mbit/s
My Oculus Quest 2 with rate set to fixed 105Mbit/s (not 150) works fine.
