After router os 7.7 I started seeing this type of behavior I do not know if this is a hardware issue and it is just a coincidence.
about once a week to once a month I would see this in the logs:
os 7.7
mar/01 14:57:28 interface,info ether6 link down
mar/01 14:57:28 interface,info ether7 link down
mar/01 14:57:28 interface,info ether8 link down
mar/01 14:57:28 interface,info ether9 link down
mar/01 14:57:28 interface,info ether14 link down
mar/01 14:57:28 interface,info ether15 link down
mar/01 14:57:30 interface,info ether9 link up (speed 100M, full duplex)
mar/01 14:57:30 interface,info ether15 link up (speed 100M, full duplex)
mar/01 14:57:31 interface,info ether7 link up (speed 1G, full duplex)
mar/01 14:57:31 interface,info ether8 link up (speed 1G, full duplex)
mar/01 14:57:32 interface,info ether6 link up (speed 1G, full duplex)
mar/01 14:57:32 interface,info ether14 link up (speed 1G, full duplex)
not a big deal, ipsec tunnels / openvpn sometimes would disconnect and reconnect seconds later and sometimes they stay connected but overall this is a minor issues.
After router os 7.8
As far as I can tell the links go down and do not come back up as they did in the logs listed above, this has only happened once and I power cycled the ccr to correct it and did not receive and logs, I am now logging the console port with /log/print follow-only to a file on a laptop so I will at least see the last log output.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
