Hi there,
I am planning to upgrade my hardware to the following:
- 1x RB5009UPr+S+IN (Router)
- 1x CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+RM (Gigabit Switch)
- 1x CRS312-4C+8XG-RM (10 GbE Switch)
I want to connect RB5009 and CRS354-48G with one SFP+-DAC-Cable. Also CRS354-48G and CRS312 shall be connected with two SFP+-DAC-Cables.
Now my beginner question: If I have connected components to the 10 GbE Switch, which are located in different VLANs, the traffic from one component to the other is moved on L3 through the RB5009, isn't it? So I guess it is not possible to get full speed between those components with the RB5009? The 10 GbE Switch would only make sense, if all connected components would be in the same VLAN, wouldn't it?
Best regards,
cyb
