Container can't ping outside but router can

Wed Mar 15, 2023 9:03 pm

Hi guys, I'm new to all this.
I'm trying to set up zerotier on a CHR so my friend can see his webcams remotely.
I've got the zerotier docker image installed and running but the problem is the container can't reach the outside web whereas the router can.
The router has an ip on ether1 of 192.168.1.100 with gateway 192.168.1.1
There is a bridge between the ether1 network (192.168.1.0/24) and the docker virtual interface (192.168.10.0/24)
The router can ping the outside web without any problems
The zerotier container can ping 192.168.1.100 but not 192.168.1.1
I don't understand how it reach a device on a given subnet but not the gateway.
Any advice is greatly appreciated,
Thanks

Anwar, thanks for your kind reply. In the event the problem was that I had forgotten to add NAT to the docker bridge.

/ip/firewall/nat/add chain=srcnat action=masquerade src-address=192.168.10.0/24

Fixed the problem.
