No supported channels

Fri Nov 04, 2022 1:15 pm

Hello,
I am configurating the WifiWave2 package on a hAPax2 router running on WinBox v7.6 (arm64). Both of the interfaces (wifi1 and wifi2) say that there are no supported channels.
What is the reason for that and how can I fix this?
I have added my configuration script as an attachment as well as a screenshot of the 2 interfaces.

Thank you for your help!

Still trying to use WPA...hurting my eyes...

In your configuration there is nothing in regards to channel...have you tried setting the channel manually (or auto)?
Is this the complete config?

There is an video from Mikrotik , where they explain how to set up the WifiWave2 interface (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYORYehRwG0&list=PPSV).
I just copied every step from the tutorial.
So yes I set the channel manually and the configuration in the attachment is the complete config.
I did not execute any other command.

Why station mode? Set it to Ap mode.

Also for 5ghz set 20/40/80 mhz, 160mhz may not be supported for your country

I set the channel width to 20/40/80 mhz and changed ap mode to station. I also checked the country settings. Both are set on Germany.
I still get the "no supported channels" error...

And you are sure the channels you selected are allowed ?
Wifiwave2 is pretty strict on what's allowed and what not for a specific country setting.

Set it first on auto and see what comes.

Note that in your device, unlike many others, the wlan is rearranged.
Wlan1 is 5GHz and wlan2 is 2GHz. Fix the settings and everything will work

Good catch !!
And once again a reason to correct that order as to how it was for all other devices.

AX2 and AX3 don't support 160MHz channels.
It's in the settings but it doesn't work.
