Mysterious reset on a CSR112

Wed Mar 22, 2023 7:18 pm

We have a lot of CSR112 deployed on field, only authorized technicians have access to the routers. Still one of those routers yesterday cease to work and after checking it's back to de default configuration (no pasword)
On the logs there's only a message saying "Starting_defconf_script_" so it seems that the config was reseted. So two questions come to my mind:
  • Apart from the reset button are there any other ways to phisically reset the router? I haven't found any on the forums.
  • Is there any evidence left after the reset that might throw some light into what happened, I haven't yet reseted the router just in case

NOTE: I'm aware of the protect boot functionality but so far we haven't considered it necessary.

CRS112-8P-4S-IN ?

Mine have a weird issue where they stop switching randomly, if I disable HW switching it starts working over the CPU. If I enable HW switching on bride port back it stops. Only a reboot helps. But none of them reset themselves.

Ok, that might be an explanation, so maybe I should open an RMA if the device it's in warranty, Is there any way to check the flash health so I can provide some evidence on the ticket? I searched but only found about checking the disks attached.

Regards

system resource/print
Look for "bad-blocks" value.

To continue with this line of thought, can you please try netinstalling the device as well?
