Hap ac^2 stops casting wifi after switched to CAP

Tue Apr 11, 2023 8:35 pm

Hi everyone! I am trying to set up a very simple CAPsMAN network consisting of two Hap ac^2 routers, one router being the CAPs manager, and the other one being a CAP. I have already set up the first router as a manager, but as soon as I connect to my second router & once I try to switch it to CAP via Quick Set, the second router completely stops casting wifi, and I can't access it anymore to finish with setting up everything. What am I doing wrong? Both Hap ac^2's are running RouterOS 6.49.7 Stable. By the way, I am planning to have them connected via ethernet. How I should connect them for them to work properly? I mean, which slot on the first router I should plug the ethernet cable in, and where should I plug this cable in the second router? Thanks in advance, to anyone who will try to help me :)

Reset 2nd device to default config.
Then use Quickset.

If some config was already present and you use Quickset on top of that, strange things can happen.

Even better, use reset to caps mode.
