Manage hundreds of Mikrotik clients - what is the best method

Tue Jan 26, 2016 3:27 am

What is the best method to manage hundreds of Mikrotik wireless clients?

I am looking for a way to do the following:
- auto upgrade Mikrotiks
- auto enable packaged (like the CM2 wireless package)
- auto configure various settings like nv2 timeout/retry
- auto configure scan lists
- auto change to SuperChannel if not set

- Not necessary to auto-change IPs used to NAT or route.
- Not necessary to change band (2.4 or 5 ghz)

I thought there was a tool to do this but I am now not sure if such a tool exists.

The only option I have turned up is The Dude, but it seems like the status of that project is undecided now? And the Windows-only nature of it, frankly, stinks.

How do people with large deployments manage this?

There was a thread a while ago about adding TR-069 support, that might help
