HelloA few minutes ago, I brought my public access btest server back on-line.
It is now running again - however , I reduced the maximum btest throughput (using multiple Simple-Queues) to 100 Meg.
Normally this btest server has has the ability to btest at greater than Gig Internet best speeds.
Because of the Corona virus pandemic and most of my customers now working from home and schooling from home, my ISP Internet bandwidth has jumped an additional 25 percent and sometimes peaks at an additional 150+ percent higher than my normal Internet traffic.
You are again welcome to use my btest server again. I ask that you please please please only perform short btest(s) to my server (because my Internet feeds are currently operating at much greater loads than normal.

I just rebooted the btest server.seems like 207.32.194.24 doesn't work anymore![]()
Question - Is your Mikrotik behind a firewall ( natted ) and/or is your Mikrotik possibly firewalling inbound connections ( such as btest receive ) ?Just tried it. I can get data when I transmit but I see no stats when I try to do a receive test.
Thank you for your post.Hi Tom,
Just tested my 100/100 Mb/s fiber connection .
I was getting 99.5Mb/s constantly both ways.
Greetings from South Africa
I don't know the rule for different versions. I do know that I have experienced btest not working until I would upgrade everything to the latest versions.Tom/Garrison/all - thank you for your public btest servers and support.
Tom - if I may repeat a question that has been asked multiple times - do I need to be running the same firmware version or main code branch, or is there a minimum firmware? My router is running 6.44.x Must it be on 6.47.x?
Greetings back to you from North IdahoThanks and greetings from Croatia
FYI - my post prior to your post is about the 207.32.194.24 btest server. But that is possible a couple of week out still.Hi guys. Anyone knows 1 gbit server for bandwidth test?
p.s on 207.32.194.24 can only get 92-95mps

You so awesomeI have a 5GB pipe. Happy to offer some free bandwidth.
"can't connect"Some news , I have my IPv4: 207.32.194.24 IPv6: 2605:4e40:0:1fe:: back on-line again.
EDIT: btest user is --> btest and btest password is --> btest ( btest & btest )
I set the queue to allow btest-ing up to 4-Gig.
Question - Who has a 10-Gig Internet connected Mikrotik I can perform a btest to/from ?
I am now on a 10-Gig connection and I am looking for something to btest to/from so that I can check my 10-Gig connection.
Also - If you are btest-ing to my btest server - Please post your btest speed results , I want to verify It is running up to and over 2 Gig and possibly hitting 4-Gig on the top-end of btest throughput results.

IP: 38.104.52.187Hallo!
Someone have a free bandwidth test that works?
Thanks!
Thank you! It works, but from Italy 400/400 effective works only until 200/250.... Perhaps I'm so far...

This one seems to always work. Just tested it and got 1gb/s both ways which is my max possible.
Maybe some FQDN can help in long-term? :) Not the IP Cloud one (it's hard to remember), but custom one would be nice.Notice; The public access btest server I manage was re-numbered into new/different IP addresses. This public btest server is now at the following IP addresses:

Doesn't work. Neither v4 nor v6 🙄Heads up ...
I just updated the btest server from Version 6.47.8 to Version 6.8

Is it working now ? Are you behind a firewall ? Is your Mikrotik running a firewall ? It appears to be working for others.Doesn't work. Neither v4 nor v6 🙄Heads up ...

Re; ... it was working partially for some minutes. now it's again not working ...it was working partially for some minutes. now it's again not working.
my router is directly connected to the Internet. Firewall is running but no output filter.
Perhaps you can see some hints in the log? My IP Starts with 185. (AS51184)
ridiculous ?4 x 30 seconds tests with 5 minutes pause in between and waiting 24 hours for the next attempt is ridiculous 🤦♂️
Good morning ... The btest server is back on-line. 30-seconds after it was back on-line , I had a remote btest running on it at 100-meg down then 20-meg up :)Heads-up
The btest server I manage is off-line ( possibly until tomorrow - depending ).
I am performing some year-end 2020 backups of my ISP/WISP system. When I get finished , I will turn it back on.

** Wow - next month , it will be 5 years and a little over 6-hundred-thousand forum views and countless terabytes this server has been available **
Yanncd - your post "... Cannot connect... "Hello,
Cannot connect...
Happy new year anyway...
bmurilloHi Tom,
I wanted to thank you and at the same time say sorry. I didn't read all the rules and might have been running a couple of tests more than what you asked for (and/or more often than pointed out).
Anyway, Im done with my tests and I got the results I expected, THANKS A LOT for this service !!!
Im running this from Sarchi, Costa Rica (my ip ends with .163.144) and my speed is supposed to be 100/12 Mbps

Thanks Again,

PS: I might be blocked, and I'd really appreciate if you could unblock me, I promise I read all the instructions now and I'll follow them
rianda08thanks a lot tom, this is what i realy need.. hope this last long :D
really helpfull
Hi Tom,
Something weird happened yesterday, I was testing a link with just 50/50 for like 10 seconds, I did the test 2 times and the second time I did I could not stop the test, I rebooted the router like so many times but when ever it came online it would start to receive that traffic, I had to block the IP so the client does not get this incoming traffic. May be the test froze on server. Just thought of sharing.
Try the btest during an O-Dark-30 when your network is the least busy ( something like 3:30 AM ). Perform four tests:status: done
time-remaining: 0s
ping-min-avg-max: 46.4ms / 46.7ms / 52.9ms
jitter-min-avg-max: 1us / 288us / 6.45ms
loss: 0% (0/200)
tcp-download: 76.2Mbps local-cpu-load:7%
tcp-upload: 52.0Mbps local-cpu-load:3% remote-cpu-load:18%
udp-upload: 52.8Mbps local-cpu-load:4% remote-cpu-load:4%
This is on a Link that is supposed to be 100Mbps x 100Mbps
