Im still hoping for dhcp client to make it easier to deploy in the field as customer CPE. We want the dhcp client for the management network.

This update has killed my RB260GSP after working fine on RB260GS. Going to have to do a TFTP firmware load :(

As it seems I managad to brick my 260GSP.

I saw the update, installed it via web gui.
Afterwards I could not connect to the Web GUI any more. Ping worked

Factory default, still nothing.

TFTP cycles through (fast blink, reboot, fast blink)
I sew the version and the switch in discovery.
No connection with Safari.
Firefox tries to download a .bin file.

Obviously something went really wrong.

It is works now as a dump switch without PoE.

Any Ideas?

If SwOS upgrade has failed, the only way to recover RB250/RB260 series switches is reinstallation with BOOTP method.
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/SwOS#Rein ... S_firmware
In case, it is not successful with version 1.17, try with older version 1.16.

I tried to upgrade a 260GSP using firefox and it required me to rely on a the wiki article:
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/SwOS#Rein ... S_firmware

But on a rb750gr2 the defaults are to have 192.168.88.0/24
I had to use the combination of the article and use the existing address-pool instead of creating a new one.
I had an issue with it upgrading directly to 1.17 so I started with 1.11 and then upgraded manually.

I have upgraded my switches to the latest version. I really appreciate the naming of ports (don't know which version brought it). I also enabled IVL for VLANs, but after that, I can't see Hosts table any more - ERROR:Lost Connection. Once I saw the table and there were VLAN ID lowered by 1024 (261 instead of 1285). Are VLAN IDs bigger than 1023 problem? Why Hosts table is not working?

Besides the problem that the port names are not read correctly via SNMP (noted in another thread), I also notice that the data being offered via SNMP is very limited.
I suggest to add some health values to SNMP (voltage, temperature) and also the MAC to PORT table would be very convenient...
