Userman does not work and the administrator's account is changed in the mikrotik

Sun Jul 08, 2018 10:06 pm

Hello
I have version 6.42.4 on CCR 1009.
A userman and hotspot run on this router.
After some time, the database stops on the Userman and can not connect to the hotspot by the sign-in screen.
The disk is about 70MB free.
When connecting to a mikrotik using winbox, it writes an invalid password.

You can connect using https. I'll get to the administration automatically without entering my password on my admin account.
If I create another user I get a winbox there.
When the winbox is terminated, access is again disabled.
Firewall, NAT and DNS rules are OK.
Everything else works and the router is running.
The router must not be reset, then it does not start and reset in an infinite loop.

I resetted the Netinstall router and resumed it for about 10 days. Winbox 3.15 on the PC that I used had a deleted folder in Roaming.
Backup is used from a backup (router, userman).
Services have been disabled ftp, ssh, telnet, www.
API and API-SSL, winbox, and www-ssl are only allowed from the local network, and only from specific addresses.
Administrator account disabled and replaced by another account and password that was not used.
However, the router reconfigured it again.

Version 6.42.5 did not work. The router did not run after the restart.
Fix_space.npk was not available at that time.
Is it not possible for someone to get to the router via a hotspot?

Try installing ROS 6.42.5 using NetInstall and reconfigure as you described.

If your problem persists with your accounts, change your password for another completely different.

Regards.

Hey, I had the same problem today with a CCR1009, userman and hotspot. CCR is running 6.42.6. However I was able to login as admin with no password using winbox. Then I set a new password, created a second admin account and rebooted the router. The router came up fine, everything seems to run again.

How did you solve your problem? Did it happen again? How often?

Thanks.

UPDATE: There was a thunderstorm that night at the place where the router is located. It gets its power from a APC UPS (online) and had not rebooted. But in the logs I found those lines:
2018-08-12 01:34:12	Local7.Debug	192.168.177.3	manager,error,info,debug failed to commit transaction: disk I/O error

2018-08-12 01:34:18	Local7.Debug	192.168.177.3	hotspot,warning,debug XXXXX (192.168.1.195): RADIUS accounting request not sent: no response
2018-08-12 01:34:19	Local7.Debug	192.168.177.3	hotspot,warning,debug XXXXX (192.168.1.223): RADIUS accounting request not sent: no response
2018-08-12 01:34:22	Local7.Debug	192.168.177.3	hotspot,info,debug XXXXX (192.168.1.250): trying to log in by mac-cookie
2018-08-12 01:34:22	Local7.Debug	192.168.177.3	hotspot,info,debug XXXXX (192.168.1.250): login failed: user <b84s5> not found
2018-08-12 01:34:22	Local7.Debug	192.168.177.3	manager,error,info,debug failed to add log: unable to open database file
Can anyone understand what has happened? Why was there a problem with reading the database? The database itself is ok, after a reboot and rebuild the customers continued using the hotspot. And why were the router administrator users reset to default?

Mikrotik support told me to netinstall the router. That's what I did. Today the same thing happened. "failed to commit transaction: disk I/O error" in the log and userman not working. Reboot fixes the situation. Apparently there is some problem with CCR and userman on flash? There are reports going back to 2014? Did anyone manage to solve the issue? I tried setting the userman DB on an USB stick, but there I had the problem that the stick was remounted with a different path and the userman DB was again missing. What to do?
