PowerBox Pro Wall Mount?

Sat Oct 06, 2018 8:05 am

I see a DIN rail is included in the box, but what about mounting on a wall or even a ceiling?

I guess you could use a wall mount like this https://mikrotik.com/product/QME and then attach the PowerBox using a mettal ring on the Wall mount...

You can simply use the DIN rail itself , to mount it on the Wall

And how are you exactly going to mount a din rail on the wall ?
It is designed to be attached on a rail, do you have any photos of how you "simply" attached it on a wall ?

You can screw a DIN-RAIL on a Wall , with no problem.

If you buy DIN-Rail in "Bulk" they are usually fitted with hole, so you can mount them on a Flat surface.

The din rail included in the powerbox has to be first attached to the device and then to the rail...
So if you first mount the din rail on the wall how are you going to screw the Powerbox on the din rail after that ?

I don`t have the PowerBOX Pro in my LAB, so i can`t test it and/or make Foto`s..

Usually you can mount a piece of DIN-Rail ( not included with Device) on a Flat-Surface
Mount the DIN-Rail mounting HW (included with device) on the Device
After that the Device can be "Cliped" in

Clip it where on the wall and how ?
Unless you screw a piece of rail on the wall and then clip the din rail in place...

DIN rail mounting somehow implies pre-existing rail onto which device gets mounted (or rather cliped). The rail used can be extremely short so that it completely hides behind device cliped onto it.
